Sonnet was bred by Paul and Chris Wait at the Wa-full Farm in Fullerton, Nebraska and was born there on May 13, 2000. Her sire is a double grandson of AAA Blue Chip and is heavily line bred to Hillswicke Oracle, and her dam is a Red Crescent King daughter, with Oracle-Masterpiece on the bottom.

She has been a wonderful addition to our farm. Sonnet and Gabriel have had a great year and have learned a lot from each other. They started out with a lead line and progressed to the first horse show for both of them. She has also "worked" this summer, giving pony rides at birthday parties and local events and entertaining guests here at the farm.

Blue Roan Stallion-May 1, 1963 Bred by Vern Benner, he sired many greats, including the 1984 National Ch. Mare, Blue Chips Betsy VB. and Blue Chip's Baron VB. AAA Blue Chip was a son of the great Hillswicke Oracle ASPC# 24491

Sonnet is a double great grand daughter of AAA Blue Chip

Oracle was a Blue Roan Stallion, bred by Mrs. Volney Diltz and foaled May 28, 1945. In 1950 he set a then-world's record price for a Shetland pony when he was sold for $4,300. in 1959 he was sold again for $35,000. In 1965, at the age of twenty, he was sold for the last time, for $35,000. He was a National Champion and the sire of many other National Champions.

Baron's Benny was bred by Vern Benner and was one of the last stallions he was using before he died in 1999. He is a double grandson of AAA Blue Chip and a four times great grandson of the great Hillswicke Oracle, which makes him extremely line bred to the Hillswicke Oracle line. He is currently co-owned by Bellevue Farm Classic Shetlands, located in Underwood, Iowa, and Hopwoods Pony Farm in Palmer, Nebraska.
